StoryForge ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the StoryForge app collects and how it is used.
Without signing in, StoryForge works without any personal information: your stories, character selections, game progress, and settings are stored locally on your device only. A random device identifier is generated locally to enforce the daily free-story limit.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we additionally collect:
The sign-in creates an account so that your subscription and benefits can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
To generate story content, the app sends the current story context (your recent choices and the story text) to an AI service for the sole purpose of continuing your story. This data is transmitted in real time, is not stored by us, and is used only to generate the next part of the story you requested.
Signed-in users: we store your account identifier (email, name, picture URL), your subscription record, and a session token on our server. Story content and game progress remain stored locally on your device. Sessions expire automatically after 90 days.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party. Google account information is processed in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. Purchase verification involves Google Play's servers solely to validate your subscription.
You can delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time:
Deleting your account removes your email, name, profile picture reference, session tokens, and subscription records from our servers. Your locally stored stories remain on your device.
StoryForge is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
